Sarah, BP Fleet Principal, took part in an apprenticeship scheme with The Dance Movement to deliver boys dance projects in 2017. Following the close of TDM Sarah continued the legacy of the boys dance programme and now unites the classes with Boogie Pumps.
BP boys aims to inspire lads to dance, with weekly classes hosted by two secondary schools, and online Zoom classes throughout 2020 led by our Principal Sarah. New classes opening in Camberley this September 2021. Classes focus on performance, fitness, contemporary dance techniques and improvisation.
Boy’s Dance at Christ’s College is such an enriching experience for all pupils involved. The confidence and enjoyment that the boys get out of the sessions is monumental and will benefit their future endeavours immensely. Every boy that attends this session gains skills and opportunities that will stay with them for the rest of their lives; whether through continued development of their dance ability, gaining confidence in themselves, learning teamwork and communication skills or through once in a lifetime experiences and performances. The boys at our school are very fortunate to work with Sarah and love her sessions.

Sarah is a great inspiration to the boys at Weydon there is always such a buzz around attending her sessions. Sarah spends a great deal of time getting to know they boys and ensuring that they feel confident to share their creative ideas whatever their background in Dance. The standard of work that the boys produce with Sarah is excellent, highly original which explores themes of Physical Theatre and Contemporary.
